Two police officers who fatally shot a man at a Bayonne home he shared with his mother will not be criminally charged, a state grand jury ruled this week. Officers from the Bayonne Police Department responded to a 911 call made on June 7, 2021 around 6:30 a.m. reporting a domestic disturbance at a West 1st Street home and when they arrived, they met a woman, who spoke to them about her 47-year-old son, Lee Waskiewicz, according to a statement from the New Jersey Attorney General's Office.
